Come and enjoy a super shopping experience at Carly's, and enjoy
a great day out in Knowle and the surrounding area. There is so
much to see.
Knowle is a great town to visit, with
a village feel about it. First recorded history was in 1200 AD.
It became a royal manor in 1285 when the De Arden family sold the
manor to Edward I and Queen Eleanor.
The magnificent church was
consecrated in 1412 and Walter Cook founded the Guild House with
Chester House built during this time. Chester House is now used
as a library, and is situated on the High Street, having also an
Elizabethan knot garden.
Grimshaw Hall is close by, built in
1560. The Greswolde Arms and the Bank House, both on Knowle High
Street, were built in the 1700s. |

 |
There are many shops, restaurants and
public houses all centred around the High Street, making a visit
to Knowle a very enjoyable experience.
It is also well placed on the threshold
of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside with its many traditional
public houses close to Packwood House, Kenilworth Castle, Warwick
Castle and Shakespeare's Stratford on Avon.
